Now the roads are icy and slick and the drive to work is slow and white knuckle time on the steering wheel....with those maniacs that whiz by like they won't be in or cause an accident! My resolutions are kept to myself too. I only announce the ones I keep for longer than 3 months.Lyndahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02195443209468097567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7900320065722105446.post-17615960382183492942010-12-30T18:22:21.017-08:002010-12-30T18:22:21.017-08:00I'm with you when it comes to making resolutio...I'm with you when it comes to making resolutions, but I seem to always begin the year with a hopeful and "expecting possibilities" kind of attitude. It may not last, but I have it in January:) Happy and Healthy New Year to you. How precious it is.
We are under a winter storm watch for tomorrow. Freezing rain, then snow, then COLD. I thought about joining, but I have too many UFO's to finish. The little sneak peak of your swap block looks so pretty, I love star blocks. Wow, I've never seen a blanket so loved like the one you made for Nate. Too funny! You may have to urge him to give it up with a new big boy blanket.Kim D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/03305897149406985084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7900320065722105446.post-88583442303781245112010-12-30T09:12:31.576-08:002010-12-30T09:12:31.576-08:00Temp ranges from 30 degrees to 75-80 this week. I remember seeing a quilt show that took just such strands, ribbons, threads and layered them between thin gauzy fabrics...and scribble stitched over the entire thing. It made for a "new" fabric/item...and was darling. However, that might prolong and defeat your ultimate hopes of it just going away forever and being replaced by a grand new creation from grandma! ;-)Chartreuse Moosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01270408817801078605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7900320065722105446.post-62381583474014983392010-12-30T06:55:47.085-08:002010-12-30T06:55:47.085-08:00I am so with you on resolutions!!!!

It, too, is in threads, but she has not given it up yet. She is 14!! Now it is also in little balls with strings hanging off. It has become such a joke in the family.

Yep, we are in the "colds" here too. We didn't get the winds forecast for yesterday which would help the farmers.

Love your pretty fabrics and your blocks.Needled Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07749314475716010490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7900320065722105446.post-40259044277261996992010-12-30T06:26:34.929-08:002010-12-30T06:26:34.929-08:00Glad you like the cold!
